The collision occurred when Vehicle #1, traveling eastbound, and Vehicle #2, traveling westbound, were on Old Highway 40. The driver of Vehicle #1 fell asleep, crossed the center of the road, and hit Vehicle #2. As a result, Vehicle #2 was forced off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Sgt. A.M. Richerson 759, Capt. B.J. Drummond 40, and the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance at the scene.

Vehicle Damage
Suero was the driver of vehicle #1, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. According to the police, the 2017 Hyundai Elantra sustained severe damage, rendering it a total loss.
