Thomas V Meyer, a 70-year-old resident of Marthasville, Missouri, was involved in a collision on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 2:57 PM in St. Charles County, Missouri. The incident took place at the intersection of Route T and Brandt Road.
In the incident, Meyer was a driver. The police provided the following account of the event:
Meyer was driving Vehicle 1 westbound on Brandt Road while Vehicle 2 was heading southbound on Route T. Meyer failed to notice a fallen stop sign at the intersection of Brandt Road and Route T and consequently moved into the path of Vehicle 2. Upon spotting Vehicle 2, Meyer attempted to stop his vehicle but was unable to avert the ensuing collision. The front of Meyer’s vehicle hit the rear left side of Vehicle 2. The impact incapacitated both vehicles, pushing Vehicle 2 off the road and leaving Meyer’s vehicle obstructing Glennstone Court, across Route T from Brandt Road.
Injuries
Thomas V Meyer sustained minor injuries. He was transported by the St. Charles County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Washington .
Vehicle Damage
Meyer, the driver of vehicle #1, was in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala. According to the police, the Chevrolet Impala sustained extensive damage. The vehicle was subsequently towed from the scene by Patriots Towing .
