James B O’Neal from Bunceton, Missouri, tragically lost his life on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 6:00 PM in Cooper County, Missouri. O’Neal was a 70-year-old man.

The collision occurred at the following location: OLD CONCORD ROAD SOUTH OF 8179 OLD CONCORD

In the incident, O’Neal was one of the drivers. The police provided the following description of the crash:

FATAL CRASHNEXT OF KIN NOTIFIED The crash took place as vehicle 1 was heading southbound and vehicle 2 was heading northbound on Old Concord Drive. Both vehicles were driving down the center of the roadway and collided head-on. The impact left both vehicles blocking the roadway and both subsequently caught fire. The death was confirmed at the scene at 1907 hours by Chris Howard. This is Troop F’s first fatality for August and the 27th for the year. Assistance was provided by TPR. S. D. Sears (1407) and the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office.

Injuries

James B O’Neal tragically succumbed to his injuries. He was moved to the Howard Funeral Home, although the transportation service used was not specified.

Vehicle Damage

O’Neal, the driver of vehicle #2, was operating a 2003 Ford Ranger. According to police reports, the Ford Ranger suffered extensive damage, rendering it a total loss. The vehicle was subsequently removed from the crash site by Nash Towing .
