Clayton S Hulme of Troy, Missouri, a 27-year-old man, tragically lost his life on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 9:33 AM in a fatal crash in Callaway County, Missouri.
The incident occurred at the following location: INTERSTATE 70 EASTBOUND 161.8 MM
Hulme was the driver involved in the collision. The police provided the following description of the incident:
FATAL CRASH NEXT OF KIN NOTIFICATION MADE*** Hulme’s vehicle crossed the center of the roadway and collided with the towed unit of the second vehicle. His car then skidded off the left side of the roadway and hit several median cable posts before coming to a halt upside down. His vehicle came to a stop along the left shoulder. Boone/Callaway County Medical Examiner Stacey Huck pronounced Hulme deceased at the scene. This is Troop F’s second fatality for August and the 28th for 2024. Assistance was provided by Sgt M. A. Dickens (675) and Cpl D. J. Dalton (296).
Injuries
Clayton S Hulme sustained fatal injuries. He was transported by an unidentified service to the Medical Examiner’s Office at the University Of Missouri Hospital .
Vehicle Damage
Hulme was the driver of vehicle #1, a 2008 Ford F250. According to the police, the 2008 Ford F250 sustained extensive damage, rendering it a total loss. The vehicle was subsequently removed from the scene by Economy Towing .
