The first vehicle was heading north on County Road (CR). It veered to the left of the center line and left the roadway, ending up in the west ditch. Subsequently, the vehicle hit a culvert and slid sideways while still moving north. Finally, it collided with an electric pole before coming to a stop. The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Coffeyville Fire Department. Evergy, the local utility company, arrived on the scene to remove the damaged transformer and pole.
