The police recounted the incident as follows:
Vehicle #1, carrying five people, was fleeing from law enforcement. It was moving eastbound on Grand Avenue, a one-way street designated for westbound traffic. Meanwhile, Vehicle #2, with two occupants, was traveling southbound on 7th Street. Due to the high speed and wrong direction of Vehicle #1, it hit Vehicle #2 on the side. The occupants of Vehicle #2 received treatment for their injuries and were subsequently released.
