Bold was a driver involved in the crash. The police provided the following description of the incident:
Both vehicles were heading north on Interstate 55 at the 154-mile marker when the front left tire of the first vehicle blew out. This caused the front left of the first vehicle to hit the rear right of the second vehicle. Subsequently, the first vehicle veered off the left side of the road and collided with the median cable barrier. The first vehicle then crossed the southbound lane of Interstate 55, and the front of the vehicle struck a rock bluff. The scene was attended by MSgt. W. B. Sevier (1229) and Cpl. C. A. Groves (348).
Injuries

Vehicle Damage
Bold was the driver of Vehicle #1, a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia. According to the police, this vehicle sustained extensive damage. For its removal, the police reported that it was towed by Ives Towing .
