Evelyeen M. Ward, a 97-year-old resident of Glenwood, Arkansas, tragically lost her life in a collision on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 6:52 PM in Montgomery County, Arkansas. The incident occurred at 4467 Highway 8 East.

The vehicle was heading west on State Highway 8 when it started veering off the road to the right. The driver managed to correct the course, but the vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic before exiting the road to the left and striking an embankment. The impact was so strong that it caused the vehicle to overturn on its side. Both the driver and the passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by Montgomery County Coroner, Jeff Blansett.
