Makenzie D Christian, a 30-year-old woman from Armstrong, Missouri, was injured on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 3:45 PM in Howard County, Missouri. The collision took place at MO 5, south of County Road 221, where Christian was one of the drivers involved.
The police provided the following description of the crash:
The collision occurred when both Vehicle 1 and Vehicle 2 were stationary on Missouri 5, stopped by a flagman due to a lane closure. Vehicle 3, also traveling northbound on Missouri 5, failed to slow down for the stopped traffic. In an attempt to avoid Vehicle 2, the driver of Vehicle 3 veered off the right side of the road, but still ended up hitting Vehicle 2. The impact caused Vehicle 2 to cross the center of the road and collide with Vehicle 1. After the collision, Vehicle 1 remained in the northbound lane of Missouri 5, while Vehicle 2 ended up mostly in the same lane, partially blocking the southbound lane. Vehicle 3 ended up down an embankment on the east side of Missouri 5.
Injuries
Makenzie D Christian sustained minor injuries. Christian was transported by Howard County Ambulance to University Hospital .
Vehicle Damage
Christian was the driver of vehicle #1, a 2010 Acura Tsx. According to the police, this vehicle sustained moderate damage. For the removal of the vehicle, it was handled by Double R Towing .
