Adam Lee Schwarzer, a 43-year-old man from Muscotah, Kansas, was injured on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 7:35 PM in Wyandotte County, Kansas.
The collision occurred at I70 Westbound at mile post 421.1, or 0.5 miles east of the 18th Street Expressway on I70 Westbound.
Schwarzer was one of the drivers involved in the crash. According to the police report, the incident unfolded as follows:
Schwarzer’s vehicle, referred to as Vehicle 1, was heading west on I-70 in lane 1, approaching the 18th Street Expressway. Another vehicle cut off Schwarzer’s vehicle, causing him to swerve and lose control. His vehicle then collided with the barrier wall and came to a halt in lanes 1 and 2. Meanwhile, two other vehicles, referred to as Vehicles 2 and 3, were also westbound on I-70 in lane 2. Vehicle 3 stopped in lane 2 to avoid colliding with Schwarzer’s vehicle but was rear-ended by Vehicle 2. Vehicle 3 subsequently struck Schwarzer’s vehicle. Vehicle 2 then veered into lane 3 and hit another vehicle, referred to as Vehicle 4, in the rear driver side door. Vehicles 1, 2, and 3 were left disabled across lanes 1 to 3, while Vehicle 4 ended up on the right shoulder.
Injuries
Adam Lee Schwarzer sustained minor injuries, suspected to be non-life-threatening. Schwarzer was transported to Providence Hospital, although the ambulance service used was not specified.
