According to the police, the incident unfolded as follows:
Vehicle #1 was heading east on HWY 9 while Vehicle #2 was heading west on the same highway. The driver of Vehicle #1 failed to yield to Vehicle #2 while attempting to turn north onto 9TH ST SW. This resulted in a collision between the two vehicles in the westbound lane of HWY 9. The Waukon Fire Department, Iowa Department of Transportation, Waukon Police Department, Allamakee Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa Department of Natural Resources were all on the scene to assist.
Injuries
Keira J Miller sustained injuries. She was transported by an unnamed service to Veterans Memorial .
Vehicle Damage
