Guineng Shi, a 65-year-old woman from O’fallon, Missouri, was injured on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 3:20 PM in a collision that occurred in St. Louis County, Missouri. The incident took place on the westbound lane of Interstate 64, east of Highway 141.

In the incident, Shi was one of the drivers involved. The police report described the sequence of events as follows:

Vehicle #2 was moving in lane 3 on the westbound side of Interstate 64. The first vehicle was being driven in a careless and imprudent manner, leading to its front end colliding with the rear of Vehicle #2. Following the impact, the driver of Vehicle #2 lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. Vehicle #1 veered off to the left side of the road and was hit by Vehicle #4. The third driver steered right to avoid Vehicles #1 and #2, subsequently hitting a guardrail. Assistance was provided by TPR. J.D. Hedrick (455), TPR. S.C. Clair (411), TPR. A.M. Collins (216), TPR. M.T. McCoy (878), and the Town and Country Police Department.

Injuries

Guineng Shi sustained minor injuries. Shi was transported by Frontenac EMS to Mercy Hospital St. Louis .

Vehicle Damage

The driver of Vehicle #4, a 2016 Mazda Cx5, experienced extensive damage to her vehicle according to the police. The car was subsequently removed from the scene by Mcnamaras Towing .
