Traffic was decelerating due to an emergency vehicle stationed on the right shoulder of I70 at mile marker 299, heading westbound. Schmahl’s vehicle was unable to halt in time and consequently collided with the rear of the second vehicle. Both vehicles sustained extremely minor damage and were able to be driven from the scene.
